Ticketspace Ticket Purchase Terms & Conditions of Sale

Ticketspace aims to make your ticket purchasing experience easy, efficient and equitable. Any ticket issued is subject to the following conditions and may be revoked by the issuer, proprietor of the venue and/or organiser/presenter of the event for breach of any of the specified conditions. Ticketspace may change or amend these Terms & Conditions of Sale at any time. By purchasing a ticket from the Ticketspace website, you are deemed to have accepted the terms of sale and agree to be bound by them.

1. Overview

1.1. Ticketspace sells tickets as an agent on behalf of event presenters, venues, artists, and other event organisers (“Presenter”). Any representations made by the Presenter regarding the event at any time and any associated complaints or claims are the responsibility of the Presenter and not Ticketspace. The Presenter sets ticket prices.

1.2. All tickets are subject to the presenter’s Terms and Conditions of purchase. It is your responsibility as the purchaser to ensure that you are familiar with the presenter’s Terms and Conditions. We can provide you with a copy of these on request.

1.3. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms of Sale and the Presenter’s Terms and Conditions, or these Terms of Sale are silent on an issue, then the Presenter’s Terms and Conditions will prevail to the extent of such inconsistency/silence.

1.4. Each ticket is a license granted to you by the Presenter to attend the event. Your contractual relationship is therefore with the presenter in terms of attendance at the event.

1.5. Ticketspace reserves the right to vary these terms of sale at any time. Any variation will be effective immediately upon posting of the amended terms of sale on the website. You agree to be bound by the amended terms of sale.

2. Your Ticket
2.1. You can print or download your ticket(s) upon receiving the confirmation email by clicking the Download & Print Ticket button. A confirmation email which contains a PDF of your ticket is sent to the email address you provided during the ticket purchasing process, from which you can print your ticket(s). You can also print your ticket(s) from your Ticketspace profile at My Tickets > View my Tickets.

2.2. Your ticket must be presented in order to gain admittance to the event. The code on the ticket uniquely identifies this ticket and the purchaser and can be redeemed only once. Multiple copies of this ticket will not allow multiple entries. In the event that multiple copies of this code are presented at the event, the Presenter may refuse entry to all ticket holders presenting tickets with this code.

2.3. When presenting concession tickets or entering events with an age restriction in place, appropriate identification must be shown. If suitable identification is not presented, you may be refused admittance to the event.

2.4. Presenters may opt to suppress tickets on delayed delivery which means you will be emailed your ticket at a later date as chosen by the Presenter.

3. Currency and Pricing

3.1. All ticket prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$) unless otherwise stated.

3.2. All prices include GST unless otherwise stated.

4. Service Fees

4.1.  All tickets purchased through the Ticketspace website are subject to a per ticket service fee.

4.2. Some tickets may also be subject to a delivery fee/s.

4.3.  All transactions through the Ticketspace website are subject to a Card Processing fee.

5. Lost or Stolen Tickets

5.1. Ticketspace reserves the right to charge a fee for the replacement of allocated seated events.

5.2. Ticketspace will not replace tickets for events without allocated seating (i.e. General Admission)

6. Postponements, Cancellations & Refunds

6.1. Tickets cannot be refunded, exchanged, or cancelled once issued except in accordance with the applicable laws of New Zealand.

6.2. In the event of a cancellation, the purchase will be refunded directly to the credit card used for the original purchase.

6.3. In the event of a postponement, purchased tickets for the original date will be valid for the new date unless otherwise notified.

6.4. Purchasers may have the option to seek a refund for the face value of the purchased ticket(s) for a postponed event by contacting Ticketspace prior to the replacement date for the postponed show. Refunds are at the sole discretion and control of the Presenter. In the event that a Presenter authorises ticket refunds for a postponed event, they will be issued only to the original credit card used for the purchase.

6.5.  Service fees, Delivery fees, Card Processing fees and booking fees are non-refundable.

7. Ticket resale and Purchase from Unauthorised Sources

7.1. Tickets are sold on behalf of the Presenter by Ticketspace. Do not purchase tickets from any source other than the Ticketspace or its authorised agencies. Tickets purchased from any other source may be unauthorised copies and may be refused admittance to the event.

7.2. No ticket may be resold, used for advertising, promotion, or other commercial purposes without formal written authorisation from Ticketspace or the presenter. Any breach of this term will result in you or the ticket holder being refused admission or being ejected from the event.

8. Ticket Limits
8.1.  Ticket purchases are at times limited to a total number of tickets per transaction. If you need to purchase more than the ticket allocation published as part of the event information, you will have to purchase in a separate transaction. This policy is meant to restrict unfair purchasing practices.

9. Changes in Program
9.1. The presenter reserves the right to add, withdraw or replace any artist or performer, and to amend the event programme, including date(s), prices, venue, capacity and/or seating arrangement without notice.

10. Limitation Liability
10.1. We assume no liability for any loss of any kind arising out of your attendance at an event. Any liability arising is a matter between you and the presenter or other party.

10.2. By purchasing tickets on behalf of others, including minors, you acknowledge that those parties are aware of all terms and conditions relating to their tickets and their entry and attendance at the event.

10.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all responsibility and liability in relation to the event and we will not be responsible or liable for any loss, injury or damage caused in any way (including to any person or property). This includes under contract, tort, statute, product liability or otherwise, whether they be direct or indirect, special, incidental or consequential, resulting from the use of this website, your use of or the inability to use the tickets, the cancellation or postponement of the event, or for any other reason whatsoever.

11. Attendance

11.1. You must hold a valid ticket to attend the event. Unless tickets are purchased from an authorised sales channel, they may be voided, or you may be refused admission. If you have purchased a ticket from an unauthorised ticket seller and these tickets are copies or fraudulent, we will be unable to grant admission into the event.

11.2. Tickets purchased online are available to be printed by accessing the link contained in the confirmation email or by accessing your Ticketspace Account. If multiple copies of tickets are printed, only the first to be scanned will allow admission.

11.3. The Presenter or venue reserve the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose behaviour does not comply with the rules and regulations set forth by the venue and/or Presenter.

11.4. You must comply with all security requirements of the presenter and venue in relation to your attendance, which may include (without limitation) you and your belongings being searched on entry, and the confiscation of any prohibited items.

12. Recording / Audiotaping Events

12.1. Cameras and video recorders, audiotape recorders and other types of recording devices may be prohibited at the event.

13. Credit Card Problems
13.1. Ticketspace’s ticketing system involves an immediate exchange of information between us and your bank via Stripe. Occasionally, your bank may not authorise a transaction, based on your account status or your card not being enabled for online purchases. In these instances, it is your bank denying your card, not Ticketspace, so please contact your bank for a resolution.

13.2. Where a ticket is purchased by credit card and a chargeback is subsequently issued, you will be liable for and will be invoiced for both the full transaction value and a reasonable chargeback management fee.

14. Donations

14.1. By using the Ticketspace donation feature to make an online donation (“Donation”) with your ticket purchase, you authorise Ticketspace to accept and process the Donation on your behalf, receive and hold the funds received from the Donation, and remit the Donation to the receiving organisation. We will email you a Donation receipt with your ticket. Donations submitted will be non-refundable. If a ticket refund is requested and approved the Donated amount is non-refundable and will, therefore, be excluded from the refunded amount.
