PROJECT HEDLOK - Gisborne

For the first time at The Whitehouse Gisborne performing as "HedLok" Che Fu & King Kapisi are guaranteed a sell out show!

King Kapisi: Wellington-born Samoan, Bill Urale (King Kapisi) is a Kiwi hip-hop legend. Performing at nearly every major NZ music event and alongside International artists The Black Eyed Peas, Janet Jackson and the Beastie Boys just to name a few.

Che Fu: A founding member of Supergroove, responsible for a new sound, the album Traction released in 1995 produced hits that have become classic Kiwi anthems. Che's debut solo album as 'Che Fu' '2b S,Pacific' released in 1997. Late 2001, Che Fu & The Kratez released the follow-up album Navigator with APRA Silver Scroll Award winning single 'Misty Frequencies'. In 2006 the release of 'Hi Score - The Best of Che Fu' featured singles from Che's three solo albums and four new tracks.

Che Fu & The Kratez performed in London at HRH The Queen of England's Golden Jubilee. Che dined and performed for The Prince of Wales, Prince William and the in the 2009 Honours List Che was presented 'The NZ Order of Merit' for his contribution to music.

They will also be performing alongside some of Gisborne & the East Coasts most talented artists.

Coey East - No stranger to the spotlight, he thrives off of anything to do with music, be it gangster or rhythm & blues.

A.Zee - A bonified soldier from the East Coast he is set to drop bombs on any stage he performs on.

Anubis - With albums already under his belt he holds a wealth of knowledge & talent.

D.J Murdurah - His work speaks for itself working with a range of artists from famous to underground.

Madhousx - A crew fresh off the boat & fresh to death.

M.D.C - Founded by Destiny Elliot, this crew has talent & skill that will impress anyone & are sure to do that as our opening artists!
