POSTPONED: LE CURRENTS | Taupo

Important Update:

On December 13th 2021 the government announced that the Lakes District would remain in a red setting until December 30th, meaning that Le Currents was not able to go ahead on December 27th. To be on the verge of selling out the festival and to miss out by three days has been devastating news for our entire team, who have poured their heart and soul into this event.

We could have just canceled right then, but instead the team worked tirelessly to find a postponement date and within 24 hrs we had moved the entire festival to the 7th of January. 

Unfortunately, we have tallied up all the refund requests and the new date does not work for over 70% of you. We were on track for our biggest Le Currents yet, with 7000+ attendees excited and ready to join us. Now to continue with the new date would be unviable, both in terms of putting on a high quality show and in terms of the vibe and layout of the site.

As promoters, we take on a massive amount of risk as we attempt to hold these large-scale events. We know the industry relies heavily on us to do so, and for so many fans these events were the shining light at the end of the 2021 tunnel.

We have tried our absolute best to keep Le Currents alive this summer but we have now had to make the very difficult decision to cancel for this upcoming season.

Le Currents will be back on the 27th December 2022 with some tasty international artists that we have already locked in. You do have two options: If you wish to hold onto your tickets for next year then they will be automatically transferred over to the new date, or if you would prefer a refund then please CLICK HERE to complete the refund request.
