GRAMMY NOMINATED SINGER JOSH TATOFI ANNOUNCES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SOUTH PACIFIC TOUR
Grammy-nominated and multi-award-winning Hawaiian artist Josh Tatofi is set to embark on his South Pacific Tour, bringing his soulful blend of traditional Hawaiian music and R&B to audiences across Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga. The tour kicks off on August 10, 2024, promising a series of unforgettable performances from one of Hawaii's most beloved voices.
Josh Tatofi, a native of Honolulu, Hawaii, was immersed in music from a young age. His father, Tivaini Tatofi, is a founding member of the legendary reggae band Kapena. By thirteen, Josh was already performing across the Hawaiian Islands, quickly gaining respect as a powerful vocalist. His early career was marked by reggae influences, but it was his love for R&B legends like Luther Vandross and Peabo Bryson that shaped his unique sound.
In 2014, Josh found his true calling in traditional Hawaiian music. His first Hawaiian language single, "Pua Kiele," released in 2016, marked a significant milestone, earning him widespread acclaim. The album "Pua Kiele" won two Na Hoku Hanohano Awards and a Grammy nomination, establishing Josh as a major force in Hawaiian music.
Josh's second album, "Ua Kui A Lawa," released in 2019, swept the 2020 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards with five wins, including Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. He also received the "Best International Pacific Artist" award at the 2020 Pacific Music Awards in New Zealand. Most recently, he was named Male Artist of the Year at the 2021 Island Music Awards.
