Jammin Festival 2023 is an inaugural music event that will bring some of the biggest names in reggae music together in February 2023 as part of a line-up that will speak to the generations. It's officially the biggest reggae festival in Australia and will be hitting Perth on February 3rd, Wollongong on February 4th and Brisbane on February 5th.
Headlined by reggae icons UB40 w Ali Campbell and J Boog, Jammin also boasts the iconic sounds of Kolohe Kai, The Original Wailers, Sean Kingston, Fiji, Sons of Zion, The Original Wailers, Steel Pulse and so many more
Event partner Rawiri Nelson says Jammin Festival will be a celebration for the people, with nothing but positive vibes just in time for the birthday of reggae icon Bob Marley on February 6, which is also Waitangi Day for Kiwis across the ditch
“Reggae music is in our roots. Aotearoa has lived and breathed reggae culture from garage parties to major events. We know there’s a massive number of Kiwis, Māori and Polynesians who reside in Australia, and they’re going to feel at home at this festival. In the words of Bob Marley, reggae 'has a feel' and Jammin Festival is going to be a party for anyone who feels the vibe because although the music is reggae, the feeling is universal," Nelson says.
After a tough few years impacted by Covid-19, promoter Matthew Spratt says people are more than ready for live international acts and the return of the entertainment industry, providing a much-needed boost to tourism and the economy.
