Blabla Events Presents ‘ Hocus Pocus - The Exclusive Halloween Ball’
On Saturday, Thirty First of October, Two Thousand and Twenty, as the clock strikes Eight Thirty, The Rising Tide will open its doors to host the most weird and wonderful party of the year.
Beware all ye who enter the dark halls … ghosts, ghouls and gallows will be lurking in the shadows of the Ball Room to give you a fright.
The dead will be awakened from 9pm with a spectacular line-up of Kiwi bands from around the country on stage in the Mount Brewing Co Brewery.
Keep an eyeball out ...we heard a rumour that Winifred Sanderson and her sisters dodged Managed Isolation on their broomsticks and are showing up for a special guest appearance.
Candy Apples and Bloody good cocktail specials will be served and a night of dancing with the dead will be expected from all ye who enter the underworld.
It’s the Halloween Ball of the Year, so dress to scare if you dare.
Best dressed will get a trick or treat prize bag of voucher goodies.

HA THE UNCLEAR
With their high-energy mix of alt pop and rock weirdness, Ha the Unclear are one of our favourite NZ Live acts. Now the Auckland-via-Dunedin band are spreading their infectious sound around the world.
RNZ
LA WOMEN
New Zealand's avant R&B outfit LA Women emerged from nowhere in 2016 with their epic piano ballad, Hurricane Love – which has since accrued over five million streams on Spotify. Now, having signed to Island Records UK, the blog raves have presented a debut EP, I was admiring her through a series of precision cut mirrors. And the group is no longer NZ's best-kept secret.
JOES VAN
Sitting on Winners of the SmokeFreeRockQuest and a big local fanbase in the Bay of Plenty,, Joes van are a mix between psychedelic and surf rock band. Once a regular on the New Zealand music scene with near a million streams on Spotify of their hit ‘ Shroomy Sam’, the boys are coming back hot this Summer of 2020.
HALF MOON BABY
The horn-driven seven-piece crew fronted by the soulful tones of vocalist Matt Herd have released a grooving and funk-heavy run of tunes since getting the ball rolling in 2018, including their debut five track collection Bushwalks.
